Machine worked pretty good the first time, after that only brought disappointment. I wanted something with a bag, my husband thought the “lightweight” factor might be of importance, plus it had all those bonus features…. Oreck can not possibly pick up as good as the vacuum(s) it replaced, the last one, was a bagless, but don’t get me started on those. I seemingly never have to replace the bag on Oreck, because it does not fill up. Previous other manufacturer models used with a bag had to be changed every other week, at least, we vacuum a couple times per week. My family is not creating any less dirt etc., as they get older, we have also added a cat & a dog fairly recently, so you can make your own assumptions. Now, I don’t know why I even bother trying to vacuum. Oreck has very little suction, and it seems nearly impossible to check for clogs, because it won’t come apart. I gave up yesterday. We would not mind the noise either, if it were doing it’s job. I am guessing, as well that, if they think they need to impose all those non related to the actual vacuum bonus items to sell a product, they must not have so much confidence with what they are actually trying to sell. Very frustrating. Needless to say, I am looking for a replacement.
