After searching the internet for information on all the major high-end vacuums I decided to go shopping personally to find the perfect vacuum cleaner. Having had a Filter Queen for 15 years (excellent machine) and a Rainbow for 5 years (not worthy of comparison to these two fine machines) it was hard to consider another vacuum but after trying the Miele for a few short minutes the decision was actually a lot easier than I expected. The Miele is lighter, more maneuverable, and definitely quieter. Though not as powerful in direct specification comparisons, the brush systems more than make up for the difference. The overall engineering and quality of the vacuum are indicative of German craftsmanship (Mercedes and BMW). The features are excellent and smartly done. The adjustable handle length comes in very handy for different “sized” people to use (ie. children vs adults). The HEPA filter insures the air is clean and fresh. The “park” feature (temporarily turns off machine when you place it in its hanger)comes in handy almost every time you turn it on. The ability to hang the head on the machine both prone and on its end is a big space saver and convenience.
