Miele S514 Solaris Bagged Canister Vacuum Review A Great Vacuum After researching several popular brands, my husband and I decided that the Solaris was the vacuum for us. The electric wire runs inside th...

I just got the solaris a week ago and I’m pretty impressed with it so far. I have had a chance to use some top of the line vacuums before the solaris (, kirby) but the solaris takes the cake.

The is a good vacuum, but replacing the filter is a pain. You have to remove all the dirt that the vacuum has accumulated and empty out the vacuum. This process is a mess! You find that you would have to clean the spot where you cleaned the vacuum because some of the dust and dirt will spill over while you are emptying the vacuum.

The Kirby is also a good vacuum. It uses a bag so it’s easier to clean than the . But the thing weighs a TON! It is so heavy that vacuuming stairs is torture! Plus, the suction power is not that great. Changing from the carpet vacuum to the hose attachment is also a pain, as you would literally have to take the vacuum apart before you could put in the hose and attachments. The noise that this vacuum makes is also a negative to me. It is louder than the , and it’s so loud that vacuuming at night is a hassle to myself and my neighbors!

The Solaris is a quiet, lighweight vacuum that has great suction power and is easy to use. Changing attachments is a snap as the attachments are stored in the canister itself. You can also adjust the suction power so that when you have to dust, you only suck up the dust not everything else (you know what I mean!) The price is also decent compared to the and kirby, it’s just that it does not come with the cleaner that the and kirby comes with.
