This machine is ok for the price. It does a good job of cleaning carpets and the attachment has good suction.

The carpet height adjustment could be a little higher because on thick carpet it is a little too low and makes it hard to push vacuum forward.

After 3 months of daily use (I have 3 indoor cats)my Bissell broke. (The handle adjustment lever and the height adjustment plate)

I was disappointed, but will take it to the warranty station to have it repaired as it does come with a 2 year warranty.(UPDATED Information;This vacuum had broken plastic parts after only three months of use. It has been in the repair shop for over three weeks. Repair shop man says Bissell often claims abusive use by the customer as a means of not honoring the warranty.)End Update.

Unless I have the same problem again after it is fixed, I would recommend this vacuum just because I have compared it to lots of other vacuums that are around the same price and this one has better features and has a longer cord than most.
